A second Albanian alphabet independently created around the same time as the Elbasan script in 18th-century Albania. The existence of multiple concurrent attempts to create a unified script reflects that Albanian was then written in Arabic, Greek, and Latin — and communities across the region were simultaneously trying to solve this problem.
