Script of the Rohingya people of Myanmar, created around 1430. When ~700,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladeshi refugee camps following the 2017 military genocide, the Hanifi Rohingya script became a last bulwark of linguistic identity. Literacy programs in the script continue inside the refugee camps.
