Syllabic script of the Canadian Inuit. Derived from James Evans's Canadian syllabics system (1865) with a unique feature: rotating the same symbol represents different syllables. One of Nunavut Territory's official scripts. For Arctic indigenous communities most impacted by climate change, this script is the key medium for transmitting traditional ecological knowledge to the next generation.
