아랍 문자 계열의 나스타리크 서체로 표기하는 우르두어 문자.
아랍 문자 계열의 나스타리크 서체로 표기하는 우르두어 문자. 파키스탄 국어이자 인도 공식 언어 중 하나다. "매달린 문자"처럼 오른쪽에서 왼쪽으로 흘러가는 나스타리크의 독특한 미학이 특징이다. 무굴 제국의 문학·시의 언어였으며, 미르자 갈리브·이크발 등 위대한 시인들의 작품이 이 문자로 기록됐다. 인도-파키스탄 분단(1947) 이후 힌두스타니어가 힌디(데바나가리)와 우르두(나스타리크)로 나뉜 역사를 상징한다.
