Script for Kannada, used by ~56 million people. Similar to Telugu script, it is one of the oldest living scripts in the Brahmic tradition. Ancient Kannada (Hale Kannada) inscriptions date from the 4th century, making it one of India's oldest documented languages. Thousands of inscriptions at Hampi — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — are carved in this script.
