Traditional Sindhi script of the Sindh region in Pakistan and India. Though Sindhi is mainly written in Arabic script (Pakistan) or Devanagari (India) today, small communities maintain it for cultural preservation. Sindh was the heartland of the ancient Indus Civilization, and this script symbolizes that historical continuity. Added to Unicode in 2014, it has faced endangerment since the India-Pakistan partition (1947).
