A modernized script for the Tai Lue language reformed in China in the 1950s. One of the official scripts of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan, used by ~330,000 people. A standardization of the traditional "Old Tai Tham Lue" script, with Buddhist scriptures and traditional folk songs recorded in it. Genealogically connected to Tai-family scripts of Thailand and Laos; a product of China's ethnic minority language standardization policy.
